MOON TIDES — “To Be” (2011)
Colorado seems like an unlikely place for blissful beach pop songs to originate but new artist Moon Tides makes it happen. “To Be” is a beautiful tune that has some great guitar and drum work, along with a melody that will melt you. I love how the vocals are simple and understated, letting you kind of float away in the washed out twilight of it all. I looked around for a picture that I thought would work well with the song but realized the song’s own artwork conveys the idea perfectly.
